![]() ![]() The two behemoths wrestled for just under seventeen minutes. However, as surprising as it may be, Diesel and Taker pulled off a fun big-man match. It is hard to believe that a match with Diesel was Undertaker’s best WrestleMania match for the first decade of his career. Taker managed to hit three Tombstones to keep Kane down but this match was really quite odd.ġ3. Then, the match did not have the intensity of a hate-filled blood feud. First, Kane emerged and Tombstoned Pete Rose who was antagonizing the Boston crowd. The buildup was there for a classic match but the whole thing comes off very strange. Despite vowing to never fight his brother, Undertaker was forced to battle his evil younger brother at WrestleMania XIV. Kane had been a thorn in Undertaker’s side since his debut at Badd Blood the previous October. Although it would not be the last, this match was the first clash between monsters at WrestleMania. The match was slow and it was fine but at no point did the streak ever feel like it was in jeopardy.ġ4. It was not to be however and Taker was left to face Henry. It was rumored that Undertaker had wanted to wrestle Kurt Angle at that year’s WrestleMania in the hopes that he could finally have a great ‘Mania match. This caused him to feel like a placeholder at WrestleMania 22. Henry had not yet reached his peak with the Hall of Pain, and he was well passed the comedy gimmicks of the Attitude Era. The only Casket match in WrestleMania history, this took place at a time when Mark Henry was still lost in limbo on the WWE roster. ![]()
